Then when he was eating a piece of chocolate after lunch, I hear him saying, "Come on, come on..." while tapping the wrapper of the chocolate. Pausing in the middle of loading the dishwasher, I look at him. "Are you talking to your chocolate?" "I'm trying to get it to come out of the wrapper." "You ARE talking to it!"

Six-year-olds...
