Easter fellowship

So, no volleyball this year, but it was really nice outside so I got some pictures of the craziness! :)

Colin has found a small tree:

Maybe I should be running:

Because the best part of the swing set is the frame!:

This was obviously the weapon of choice:

S. talks while a small battle goes on behind him:

I'm not sure who's winning:

She's flying!:

Storming the fort...the boys had claimed the top, but the girls were going for it:

H. watches the (unsuccessful) takeover:

I don't think she knows what's coming!:

I got my photographer (my friend Zoe!) to take a picture of me...so you can see the dress...and the shrug that I finished right before bed last night!:

This is the one that actually turned out best, but I don't think I knew she was taking it, and I'm trying to get leaves out of my sandals! :p

Here's what I made for the fellowship:

It's actually fruit salad with pasta in it. And as strange as that sounds, it's really good! It has pineapple and mandarin oranges, and teeny-tiny round pasta, with cool-whip and some other stuff mixed in. Not much of it got eaten though, because I don't think most people knew what it was!

It was really fairly warm...in fact it was too warm inside at church. It was just right outside, it was cool, but the sun was shining so it wasn't cold. I really enjoyed it!

Looks like fun (for most of you, anyway...). It was so freezing this morning and I didn't have a coat on (and I was wearing a skirt and short sleeves). But I refuse to wear one. Because it's spring now. :P

Ha-ha! I had a sweater with me, but I didn't need it. It's a little colder up there though! :)

Did you take a picture of your skirt?

It felt like 30 degrees this morning. Brrrr.

I forgot to get a photo! Sorry!

I love your dress. It's so beautiful and your shrug is wonderful!!!
And the salad, my mom makes it. She calls it "Acini Di Pepe salad" because that's what the little ball like noddles are called. :) Very original, I know. I really like that salad though. :) It's yummy!

awh...you put up my picture:)

Thanks Ana! :)

I actually ended up using Pastina pasta in that salad because I couldn't find the Ancini Di Pepe.

The recipe I have calls it "Wedding Salad", but apparently it's also known as "Frog's Eye Salad" which sounds awful!! :P
I think I like "Ancini Di Pepe Salad" best! :D

Anon...yes, I did post your picture...apparently. Yeah, I think I know which picture is you. :)

Tell Colin I like the pants ;)

LOL! :D

It's a good thing he changed to those...all the other little boys had grass and mud on their church pants!

Hey Natalie! I love the pictures! Did the ones of us turn out or not?And where's the one of my cute little feet? haha

Hmph, you know, I don't really like anonymous comments, but since I can generally figure out who it is, I guess it's okay!

It's my photographer! :p
Hey girl, the picture of us looked kind of weird...and I'll email you the picture you took of your feet, but I thought it was kind of random to post it on the blog! :)

I love that dress!!!!!!!! You shouldn't have told us that you were trying to get a leaf out of your shoe, you could have passed if off as a glamour shot; that's seriously what it looks like! :D

Man, adults never have as much fun... Although we had a good laugh going on in the living room! (I like the picture of you... It has some style!)

Wow, thanks Mandolinartist and Abigail! :)

Yeah, I heard about the mix-up of the Scotts...trust my grandpa to do something like that! :D

Indeed! You kids think Uncle Jim is fun...Mandolinartist got to meet Grandpa Jim. There was some really funny confusion when he got Mandolinartist's and our hostess's husbands switched around in his mind. "El Numero Uno"

Grandpa Jim seems GREAT! (I forgot you have TWO JIMS! YIKES!) I didn't care about the mix up; it was funny. The hostess was telling the story about my husband anyway, so it was easy to mix it up...

N said...

No, Mandolinartist...we have THREE Jims. I have a cousin Jim as well.

As you might have guessed, family get-togethers can be rather confusing. :)

(My cousin is generally more normal than the other two Jims.) :P

At least Grandpa isn't hanging around on all the blogs...

Maybe family get-togethers would be less confusing if everyone just said Grandpa, Uncle Jim, and Jim. And I think I will...

Since they're not "Grandpa" and "Uncle" to everybody, I don't really think that will help any! :P

I sense technical difficulties in your future...

Why? What are you going to do?
