Ugh...

...and also, ooh, ow... I'm sick and my head hurts...*sniff* My throat started hurting Tuesday, but it was mostly scratchy, so I thought it was just allergies. It didn't get any worse, and it was still scratchy Wednesday morning, but by lunchtime I was feeling pretty bad. I definitely have a cold! My throat's not too bad today, but my nose is dripping, and I'm coughing some. I always get a terrible cough when I get a cold...it's so annoying. Also, my tongue's burnt from hot soup and tea yesterday, so that's not real pleasant. I just got up from about a two hour nap, but at some point during that nap my cold and sinus medicine wore off, so I have a painful sinus headache...and I can't hardly move my head without it hurting... ow... I think I'll go take some more medicine... *groan*

SICK IS NEVER GOOD!!! Allergies plague me all year, on and off. Do you ever take medication that just knocks you out? After all that running and draining and sniffing and sneezing and blowing, then you take some medication and you are out... What might the alternative be?

Yes, I take Nyquil, but only at night. If I take the full dose, I'm a little wobbly and falling asleep in about 15 minutes! :-)

Usually I have trouble with allergies too, but I haven't had too much trouble this year. I have some sort of pill I take when I've got allergies (a little more effective than Nyquil), but I have to take that at night too! Thankfully, this time I haven't been left with a cough that lasts for weeks. That's what usually happens with anything cold/allergy related.

The alternative?...not sleeping!
