Okay, that's pretty funny

Or maybe I'm easily amused. I've heard the ABBA song "Take a Chance On Me" several times before and thought it was kind of a cute song. Heard it at the gym the other day and thought I'd look up the video for it. Okay, I now have a completely different view of the song after watching the video. The video is almost making fun of the song, or making it more ridiculous than it already sounds, and I just kept laughing while I was watching it. :D

It also occurred to me that "Why Not Me" by the Judds is almost the same premise. What's up with that?

Overabundance of makeup either way. :D

That's pretty awesome.

What's up with that, you say? Maybe women were just starting to recognize the universal cluelessness of men? Maybe men were resistant to the charm of the she-mullet and the overabundance of makeup? (Both of which were very stylish at the time, thank you very much.)

But the Judds didn't rock the amazing knitwear...have to be Swedish for that.

Uhh, hmm, thought you'd gone feminist all of the sudden when I first read that, Mom. But I guess you meant clueless as in they were oblivious to the women or something. Not that they don't have their moments...

Okay, maybe I'm the one who's clueless. My brain decided to take today off.

And now in the Overanalyzing While Making Salad department...it occurs to me that Don Henley's "The Boys of Summer" shares basically the same theme, except from a male viewpoint.

Oh yeah, now that you mention it...it is.

Apparently we are a race of people completely oblivious to people who could love us...according to song-writers anyway. :D
