Okay...

...you know it's cold in the house if the two cats are sleeping on the same bed, with their fur touching even!!!

These two will usually never cuddle up next to each other, and they don't much like to be sleeping on the same surface most of the time...so yesterday when I was shivering and turned around to see this on my bed, I knew that it was in fact very cold in the house! :p

We try not to turn the heat on before Thanksgiving, in case you were wondering.

It sounds like my house. It's so cold in my house in the winter. I guess it just makes you think of ways to get warm ... exercise, tea, baking, cooking, etc..

It is 70 degrees in here. When it is 15 degrees outside, 70 will feel good.

How do you keep the house 70 degrees without heat? What's your secret?

I am praying for you and your situation.

Excuse me??

70 degrees is cold?

It wasn't 70 degrees when I was shivering. :)

Um, I'm not sure, Amanda! I baked bread this morning and this afternoon so the oven being on probably helped. We do laundry every day, so the dryer is running putting out some heat.

It isn't often 15 degrees outside, Mom... :P

Amanda, it's a new enough house that it has pretty good insulation. We have windows facing south, so we get the natural heat from the sun. We were doing laundry so that generates some heat.

Rebecca, it's not that cold. 70 degrees outside would be very pleasant and Natalie would be wearing short sleeves and possibly even shorts. :) It's been getting very cold at night, so she's in winter mode and therefore feeling cold.

Yes, it is partially psychological. :) But only partially! And I'm not sure how to overcome that. :D

Who has a 'situation' and needs prayer? 70 degree temps doesn't seem like a prayer need to me!

Anyway, GOTCHA! We have a bit of an older house, (although we now have new windows.) We also are surrounded by trees. Plus, our dryer is on a 'back porch' area that is closed off from the house by a door. It is warm in there, with the windows as well...

By the way, I heard this morning that tomorrow's high is 68!
