I'm kicking myself...no, actually I'm not, I don't think I would be physically capable of that right now. That would involve either standing solely on one injured foot, or kicking myself with said foot; neither of which sounds pleasant right now.
Okay, I'm mentally kicking myself for wearing stupid high-heeled sandals for church. I haven't had problems with them before, I've even run in them, but while hurrying around getting ready to leave yesterday morning, I managed to pull a muscle in my right ankle. Owww... It's not exactly sprained, it's just one spot on my ankle and it's not swollen or anything, it just hurts when I bend my foot. Plus I walked around Costco yesterday in the stupid shoes, after I'd hurt my ankle...and I'm not blaming anyone but myself for this either! SO, I'm limping around today feeling very grateful for my hi-top Converse that I have laced up very tightly. I even ran the laces through the very top holes, which I don't usually do. Ahh....ankle support...much better! :p
So I think I'll be looking for some nice white, flat sandals. Maybe I can find something cheap at Payless Shoes, or someplace like that. That's where I got these and they've lasted long enough, I only wear them on Sundays anyway. I'm not quite sure why I got these in the first place, they're not exactly my style even. I like them, but they only go well with maybe two skirts I have, and some more practical sandals would probably work just as well.

In an anthropology class in college, the professor said high heels is a cultural thing that puts the female body out of line for fashion purposes... WHAT IS THE POINT?! They almost always hurt... I know people who wear them all day, almost every day! HOW DO THEY DO IT? My arch is high enough that my feet do not rest well on most high heels I have worn, so I am walking on one part of my foot, which hurts, the whole time....
I was wearing sandals, (flat sandals,) today, dropped by the grocery store, and hit my little toe against the wheel of the cart as I was pushing it... OUCH... a little blood... but I think I will survive!
They are very pretty sandals, it's too bad ya'll don't get along ;)
Me and high heels don't work well together either. I'm clumsy enough on my feet without having to worry about balancing on a heel. I'll take a flat flipflop any day. Still, I am always fascinated by the ladies who manage to walk in shoes that have a 6 inch heel about the size of a pencil... I've always had a wicked desire to see one snap...
Yeah, I don't know how some women can wear high heels all day, every day. I can wear heels occasionally, and it's best if it's boots, or a shoe with a back on it...more support that way...and no more than 3 inches for the heel!
I just have a hard time with dress shoes...either they're heels, or clunky looking, or they slide off my feet! Guys have it easy...their dress shoes still have laces and stuff, and fit like normal shoes even if they're not quite as comfortable as sneakers! :D
I'm sorry you hurt your foot. That is no fun. I hope it heals quickly.
Okay, I think your shoes are WAY cute! :) I don't wear heels every day (mostly only on Sunday), but I really like them and I like the way they look.
Thanks, Ana! My foot is feeling better, although I was out and about yesterday driving and walking in stores...by the end of the day my ankle had had enough! Ouch!
Yeah, I like heels...I just wish they were more comfortable! :( I'm planning on keeping those shoes, but I should probably get something flat as well!
