I'm not a designer

Which is why I'm having trouble designing my own crocheted shrug. :( Because of course I can't find a pattern that I like, so I'm trying to make my own.

I've figured out the stitch pattern I'm going to use, and I've made a little sample of it...that's it at the corner of the paper. Now I'm trying to figure out what sort of shape I want the actual shrug to be. I sketched a few examples...not that they'll be very clear to anyone else. I know what I was trying to draw, no one else does! Plus I can't draw very well.
So, what looks best? You can click on the picture to see it bigger.

Edited to add: This is the dress I'm going to make...except longer, and I'm going to make the straps wider:

You should add a pic of the sundress you're going to wear this over. That might help us figure out what shape would be best.

I'm going to vote for the first option, the straight and square. This sundress is going to need the coverage.

But you're going to have to figure out how to line the waistline of the dress up with the bottom of the bolero.

I would say go with the straight and square one, because it seems the most "you"...not that you're a square or anything :) The other ones just seem too...cutesy....I don't know, maybe it's just me?
