Ouch...

I went hiking today with my friend Jess and her friend Anna. We went up to Hanging Rock. It was really nice up there, but the color wasn't as good as I would have expected. There were quite a few trees that were still green.

I'm probably going to be stiff tomorrow though, there was a lot of climbing up rock "steps" and steep trails!

It was lots of fun though, and I'm glad I actually had time this Saturday to go hiking!

Oh boy, I just remembered that I have to remake my bed before I can go to sleep tonight...I washed the sheets this morning...

Do your sheets match your bedding and room?

Speaking of sheets, I remember in college, we were told we had to buy "special" sheets for our beds. We had twin beds, but apparently they were extra long. First of all, it was a money racket. Secondly, are college students taller than most people? Silliness! Thirdly, if it is a twin bed, it is a twin bed; if it is not the size of a twin bed, it is not a twin bed. Where's the logic!

My sheets are white with little black flowers on them...so they go with the b&w stuff in my room!

I know, what's the deal with college beds? I've always heard that they're longer, but I don't know why they would be!

Not everyone is short enough to sleep comfortably on a twin bed...

"College" mattresses are usually XL Twins, a twin-width mattress that is the same length as a queen. It's a good compromise, as taller folks can sleep more comfortably, but the beds can still fit in a small space.

Bedding is available at most department stores and isn't all that expensive.

(Jim & John have XL Twin bunks...)

I'm sorry, I forgot about you super-tall people! :)
I suppose with as much as you pay for college, they figure they'd better have beds that everyone can fit in.
