Snowy white

It actually snowed a little bit here today. A very little bit! It was 40-something outside, but it must have been colder further up, because we got a short flurry of snowflakes.

Here are some pictures I took this weekend of our little Star Magnolia in the front yard. The past few years it's gotten frozen and the flowers have been brown, but the weather must have been just right for it this year.

Do they smell as good as a "real" magnolia?

I don't know, I've never smelled them! I was thinking magnolias didn't smell good though?

Oh, I love flowers!! Your pictures are so beautiful. I can't wait for my roses to start to grow and then bloom. I just love walking by a bush or plant that has blooms and stopping and taking the time to relish the sweetness of the smell it offers! What a joy to have beautifulness in your front yard! How happy!

You've never smelled your flowers? I am shocked! :D

Magnolias smell great to me, they are one of my favorite trees.

Well...this is the first year it's looked good; before it hasn't looked like it would smell very good. Plus it's a short little tree (more of a bush) and I'm tall. :p

You're right, I'd forgotten what magnolias smell like, they do smell good.

I'm going to have to go smell that one! :D
